Case registered against Sheikh Rasheed for violating fireworks ban

RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – A case was registered against Awami Muslim League (AML) chief Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed for violating the fireworks ban.

According to details, at least 23 suspects including Rasheed, his nephew Sheikh Rashid Shafique and 15 unidentified men have been nominated in the First Information Report (FIR).


 


The case was registered in the presence of City police station officer Muhammad Yaqoob under section 285 and 286. The FIR maintains that the suspects displayed fireworks in Union Council 40 of NA-60 and NA-62 in Talwara Bazaar.

On the other hand, five others including Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) leader Mehar Kashif and Sheikh Kamran have also been booked in a similar violation case.
