A case has been registered by FIA against Former Secretary Establishment Ismail Qureshi for deceiving in appointment of Former DG Rao Shakeel Ahmad. While on the other side, Supreme Court has taken notice of this issue and has also ordered not to arrest Ismail Qureshi without informing. Supreme Court has taken a Suo Moto notice against the case of Ismail Qureshi and has also directed Federal Investigation Authority that investigations against Ismail Qureshi will be carried out by DG FIA. On the other side, according to the FIR, section officer of Establishment Division Ejaz Lone wrote to Deputy Secretary Mohammad Irshad on 13th June 2009 stating that Rao Shakeel made illegal changes in his date of birth just to acquire the job. Even after having cases in NAB, Secretary Establishment and Joint Secretary sent the name of Rao Shakeel to special selection board. Where as the Interior Ministry removed Rao Shakeel’s name from ECL and issued him an official passport. When DG FIA Waseem Ahmad was contacted regarding this issue, he simply refused about the court case.
