Former PML-N MPA announces support for PTI candidate
PML-N candidates from Jampur have applied for allotment of jeep symbol.
LAHORE (Dunya News) - A former MPA of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) party has announced to support rival Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) from NA-136 constituency in Lahore.
According to sources, former N-League MPA Chauhdry Gulzar Ahmed Gujjar, Ch Saad Manzoor Gujjar, Malik Iftikhar, Raja Sohail and their allies have announced their intention to support PTI candidate Malik Asad from NA-136 constituency in Lahore.
Earlier, contestants from Rajanpur district, including former deputy speaker of the Punjab Assembly Sher Ali Gorchani, had announced to contest the polls as independent candidates. Moreover, PML-N candidates from Jampur have applied for allotment of ‘jeep’ symbol.
In a separate development, Sher Ali Gorchani from NA-193, Dr Hafeezur Rehman Dreshak from NA-194, Pervaiz Iqbal Ghaurchani from PP-293 as well as 295 and Yousaf Dreshak from PP-296 returned their party tickets.
