Offshore companies case: Zulfi Bukhari's father appears in NAB
Joint investigation team of NAB interrogated Wajid Zia regarding offshore companies.
RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Zulfi Bukhari’s father, Wajid Bukhari on Tuesday appeared in National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in connection with offshore companies case.
During the proceedings, joint investigation team of NAB interrogated Wajid Zia regarding offshore companies.
Earlier, the bureau had handed over a questionnaire to PTI chief Imran Khan’s close aide Zulfi Bukhari regarding income source of his as many as six offshore companies.
It is to be mentioned here that Islamabad High Court (IHC) had ordered Zulfi Bukhari to face investigation and cooperate with NAB.
Zulfi Bukhari’s lawyer had said that imposing travel ban on his client is contrary to human rights. He said that Zulfi was first stopped from travelling to Saudi Arabia for Umrah on June 11, however, he was later given permission for six days.
In an interview in Dunya News program “On The Front with Kamran Shahid”, Bukhari said that no Black List law exists in the country, adding that he didn’t even know his name was on the Black List.
FIA should be asked as to why my name was included in the list, he said.
He went on to say that he is being criticized on social media for the last three days.
