Angry PTI workers end sit-in after assurance from Imran Khan
PTI workers protested in Bani Gala over unfair distribution of party tickets.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Angry workers belonging to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) have decided to end their protest after party chief Imran Khan assured to provide justice within five days.
On Monday, disgruntled PTI workers staged sit-in outside Imran Khan s residence in Bani Gala over unfair distribution of party tickets for the upcoming general election.
Enraged by the issuance of party tickets to candidates without merit, the protesters asserted that the candidates who live in the constituency should be nominated rather than outsiders. Majority of the protesters at Bani Gala were from constituencies of Punjab and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P).

While addressing the protestors today (Friday), Imran Khan said the party is facing difficulty in taking final decision regarding distribution of tickets in ten percent constituencies.
Khan said that over 4,500 persons had filed applications for party tickets, but tickets are being issued only to those who know how to contest elections. He further clarified that no ticket has been allotted to any of his friend of relative.
He said that Zaeem Qadri himself has revealed that the PML-N president s son Hamza Shehbaz is demanding Rs10 crore for tickets.
