Dozens killed by heatwave in Karachi, claims Faisal Edhi
Sindh Health Secretary has rejected Faisal claims and said not a single person died from heatstroke.
KARACHI (Dunya News) - Renowned social worker Faisal Edhi has claimed that heatwave has killed dozens of people in different parts of Karachi, Dunya News reported.
He said that at least 160 bodies were brought to Edhi Foundation s morgues on Sunday and Monday out of which dozens had died from heatstroke.
Faisal Edhi further said that most of the bodies were brought to Edhi Foundation s morgues in Landhi and Korangi. He said that the bodies of heatstroke victims were also brought to morgue in Sohrab Goth.
On the other hand, Sindh Health Secretary Dr Fazlullah Pechuho has rejected Faisal Edhi claims and said that not a single person died from heatstroke in the past three days.
