ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Former premier Nawaz Sharif on Thursday announced to hold an emergency news conference over National Accountability Bureau’s (NAB) legal notice served to him to explain the alleged transfer of $4.9bn to Indian exchequer.

Talking to journalists, Sharif criticized NAB for exceeding authority in various matters.

“Musharraf formed NAB while keeping a bad intention. The laws made by dictators should be eliminated. Either democracy will run in the country or the laws of a dictator. The rule of law must be implemented in the country and not of the dictators,” urged Nawaz.

If something had to be proved by NAB, it would have happened in the first ten days, added the PML-N supreme leader.

“The current scenario on social media is that a notice will likely be issued to Nawaz Sharif over Titanic sinking,” the former PM teased.

He also welcomed the statement of Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi pertaining to NAB chairman.

Commenting on the inclusion of Southern Punjab Province Front (SPPF) members in PTI, he said, “The people of South Punjab who joined PTI are known to none. They are with PTI and the public is with us.”

Answering a question about PML-N MNA from Gujranwala Rana Nazeer’s inclusion in PTI, Nawaz said, “I have also heard that he is making way towards them. His son did not vote for me as party’s president.”
