5.5-magnitude earthquake hits parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

The epicentre of the 5.5-magnitude earthquake is 20 kilometres north west of Bannu.

SWAT (Dunya News) – A 5.5-magnitude earthquake jolted various districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Tuesday.

According to details, the tremors were felt in Swat, Hangu, Charsadda, Swabi, Mansehra, Bannu, as well as tribal areas including Malakand, Khyber Agency, Orakzai and Kurram Agency.

The epicentre of the 5.5-magnitude earthquake is 20 kilometres north west of Bannu. The depth of the quake was estimated to be 12km.

No loss of life or property has been reported yet.

Panicked residents fled their houses and offices and returned once the tremors retain calm.
