48 Pakistanis imprisoned in Indian jails have been waiting for their release

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Foreign Office Spokesman Dr Muhammad Faisal on Wednesday said that Pakistan is releasing an ailing Indian prisoner on humanitarian grounds.

The spokesman said that the decision of releasing Indian prisoner Jatindera was taken on humanitarian ground.

The Indian prisoner is suffering from a blood disease. He was arrested in 2014 and India confirmed his citizenship, the FO added.

On the other hand, 48 Pakistanis imprisoned in Indian jails have been waiting for their release after completing their sentence.
