The resolution does not suggest an alternative word.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Wednesday submitted a resolution in the Punjab Assembly seeking ban on the use of word “Talaq” in the dramas.

The resolution was moved by PTI leader and Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) Malik Taimur.

The resolution stated that the use of word “Talaq” in Pakistani dramas should be banned and also bound the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) to implement the orders in letter and spirit.

The resolution does not suggest an alternative word which should be used in the place of word talaq if a story requires such a situation.

Interestingly, no other religious party in Pakistan had ever raised this issue on any forum.
