(Web Desk) – Recent use of force by the Indian forces in Indian Occupied Kashmir has resulted in casualties of Kashmiris with the entire world condemning the escalation in tensions in the Occupied Valley.
In the wake of the recent tensions in the Occupied Kashmir, Pakistani cricketer Shahid Afridi also took to Twitter to express his feelings. In a Tweet, the former Pakistani captain Afridi expressed his dismay at the brutal use of force by Indian forces against the Kashmiris.
Afridi tweeted about the situation and stated that it was “appalling and worrisome in Indian-occupied Kashmir”.
Appalling and worrisome situation ongoing in the Indian Occupied Kashmir.Innocents being shot down by oppressive regime to clamp voice of self determination & independence. Wonder where is the @UN & other int bodies & why aren t they making efforts to stop this bloodshed?

In a reactionary tweet, Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir said Afridi had a “retarded dictionary”.
Media called me for reaction on @SAfridiOfficial tweet on OUR Kashmir & @UN. What’s there to say? Afridi is only looking for @UN which in his retarded dictionary means “UNDER NINTEEN” his age bracket. Media can relax, @SAfridiOfficial is celebrating a dismissal off a no- ball!!!

For more than six decades, Kashmir has been the flashpoint between the two nations.
The Twitter war began right after Afridi stated India was an “oppressive regime” while appealing to the UN to immediately intervene and halt the brutal violence against the Kashmiris.
Twenty innocent people died and more than 200 people were injured in recent clashes in Indian-occupied Kashmir, according to the BBC.
Following Gambhir’s tweet, Afridi responded with another tweet that included a picture of him with Indian cricket fans.
We respect all. And this is an example as sportsman. But when it comes to human rights we expect the same for our innocent Kashmiris. pic.twitter.com/DT5aF1wX8P
