(Dunya News) – Owing to the neglect of the administration and keepers, the zoo housed inside Jalalabad’s Amusement Park in Muzaffarabad has become almost deserted with children, who once used to be excited to see animals, now returning home disappointed.
Due to the lack of care and hygiene, most of the animals inside the zoo have either become sick or have died. The lapses in ensuring cleanliness and hygiene of animal cages have largely contributed to the spread of diseases making animals sick.

The sight of sick animals has also disappointed visitors, most of whom are children. Many children who visited the zoo were saddened by the absence of animals. “Earlier when we used to come here, there were many birds you could see. Now they are either dead or sick,” said one of the girls visiting the zoo.

“I feel pity for these animals. Some of them are sick, some have died…there aren’t proper arrangements for them,” said another young visitor.
