Nawaz Sharif has termed himself as the target of the inspections of hospitals and colleges by CJP.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – PML (N) leader Nawaz Sharif has termed himself and his party’s administration as the target of the inspections of hospitals and colleges by the Chief Justice of Pakistan.

Talking to media outside accountability court, Nawaz Sharif criticized the Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Saqib Nisar’s visits to hospitals, saying that it amounts to trespassing on the authority of the executive. He said that the role of the executive has been transferred to others. He termed the visit to Sharif Medical City by the CJP as an attempt to target them.

Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar on Saturday paid a surprise visit to Gulab Devi Hospital in Lahore. In January, the CJP took suo moto notice of the substandard facilities being provided by the public hospitals in Lahore.

Remarking on today’s proceeding, he said that Wajid Zia confirmed our stance in the court. He said that the facts that came forth today were seen by all and let us off from the allegations. He announced that he would not run from the cases.

He further deemed the cases against him as baseless and based on fraudulent agenda meant to malign him and his family. He said that the cases against him are political. He complained that he is not allowed to go to look after his ailing wife abroad.

On the meeting between the PM and the CJP last evening, he refused to comment.
