PTI chief Imran Khan claimed horse trading took place in Senate elections

(Web Desk) – Imran Khan on Saturday claimed that Pakistan Peoples Party won two seats from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Assembly as a result of horse trading.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman said, “The horse trading in Senate elections allowed PPP to win 2 seats in KP where they only have 7 MPAs.”

He added that “this sort of electoral farce raises some serious ethical questions”.

“Senate elections yet again witnessed shameful horse trading where MPAs bought & sold their votes as country witnessed this sale of their "elected" ppl to highest bidder,” he said.

Imran asked, “This shows moral decline of our political class. In which Western democracy does such a sale happen?”

He did not cast his vote in Senate polls that are underway across the country today (Saturday).

Talking to media outside the National Assembly (NA), PTI MNA Shafqat Mahmood said that Khan has some other commitments due to which he has skipped the polling process.
