SC ordered clubbing all the pending cases and told IHC to announce the verdict within the next two weeks.
Hajj quota case was heard in SC today. The top court ruled dismissal of government’s petition to carry out balloting.
While hearing, deputy attorney general requested to lift SHC s stay order on Hajj balloting. The court gave remarks that there are pending cases regarding Hajj policy in high courts which can result in contradictory decisions.
The cases are expected to be resolved within this week in IHC.
On Friday, the Ministry of Religious Affairs postponed the Hajj balloting indefinitely in the aftermath of the stay order issued by the Sindh High Court (SHC).
