Summary A three-member bench headed by Justice Azmat Saeed resumed hearing of the suo motu notice.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Supreme Court on Friday directed to provide the alleged contempt of court video to Federal Privatisation Minister Daniyal Aziz.
A three-member bench headed by Justice Azmat Saeed resumed hearing of the suo motu notice in Islamabad.
“A screen has been placed in the court today. Which film will be shown to us? Which films have received Oscar awards” asked the judge.
Daniyal Aziz’s lawyer replied,” We are not showing any film. A miscellaneous plea has been filed in the court for the provision of alleged contempt material. The news related to my client in Roznama Dunya is incorrect.”
Conversing with the lawyer, Justice Azmat Saeed remarked, “Mr Ali Raza! You must have a credit card which contains a limit. Don’t finish the limit of your credit.”
The court while concluding the argument also ordered to give the content of Roznama Dunya news to Daniyal Aziz.
On February 2, the Supreme Court had issued contempt notice to Daniyal Aziz.
The bench stated — in prima facie — Danyial Aziz has been found guilty of contempt of court as per TV recordings and newspapers’ clippings dated 9th of June-2017, 15th and 31st of Dec-2017.
