'Where are those who recommended Motorway instead of GT Road rally?'
Nawaz Sharif presided over an informal meeting of PML-N leaders in Punjab House today.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – While presiding an informal meeting of leaders of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), party chief and former premier Nawaz Sharif rhetorically asked where was the politician who had recommended him to return to Lahore vie motorway instead of leading a Grand Trunk (GT) Road rally, to which the participants replied that he was angered with party leadership.
PML-N chief conversed with the media outside an accountability court today after his corruption case hearing and met with leaders of the political front in Punjab House in the federal capital.
Nawaz Sharif was accompanied by Maryam Nawaz, Pervaiz Rasheed, Amir Muqam, Daniyal Aziz, Talal Chaudhry, Asif Kirmani, Tariq Fatemi, Mussadiq Malik and Sheikh Ansar among others. During the meeting, the ousted premier asked the participants where was the lawmaker who had recommended him to opt for motorway instead of Grand Trunk (GT) Road long march.
During the meeting, Talal Chaudhry addressed Nawaz Sharif and asserted that he and the party would win General Elections 2018.
The participants congratulated PML-N president over party’s victory in NA-154 Lodhran by-election as party’s candidate Iqbal Shah secured a convincing win over Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) Ali Khan Tareen on Monday.
Sources reported that the meeting deliberated over party’s forthcoming rallies in multiple cities in light of nearing elections.
On the occasion, Nawaz Sharif said that the people of Lodhran have rejected negative politics and the decision to oust him as the premier of Pakistan.
Chaudhry Nisar has been in the news several times in the recent past for criticising Maryam Nawaz as potential successor of Nawaz Sharif in party politics.
