Lahore: House fire kills minor girl

Narrow streets in the area prevented rescue teams to reach the spot in time.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – An eight-year-old girl was burnt alive when fire broke out at a house in Akram Park area of Islampura in Lahore on Sunday, Dunya News reported.
According to details, eight-year-old Anum lighted the stove but a nearby foam mattress also caught fire which spread quickly and engulfed the entire room, killing the minor girl.
Anum’s uncle Shan Muhammad also sustained burn injuries in attempt to save his niece. Residents of the area doused the blaze on self-help basis as narrow streets prevented rescue teams to reach the spot in time.
