SADIQABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister (PM) Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on Saturday said 2018 elections will prove government’s credibility and show that which political party works for the people of Pakistan.
While addressing a ceremony in connection with the inauguration of gas pumping station at Rahimanbad near Sadiqabad, the premier said some political parties brought corruption in politics and some brought bad language, but the people are aware of the reality.
He said Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government completed the RLNG project in less than two years. Today, he added, the power plants are operational and producing cheap electricity from the imported LNG. He claimed the country is importing the cheapest LNG when compared with any other country.
Shahid Khaqan Abbasi maintained that when PML-N assumed charge of federal government in 2013, Pakistan was suffering from electricity and gas crisis. The government not only overcame the shortcomings, but also ensured that these problems will not occur for next fifteen years.
He told that the powerhouses that run on gas were shut in 2013, but they are working again and gas is being provided to them. Pakistan could not have made progress without solving the issues of energy crisis, he commented.
The prime minister further added that a 42-inch gas pipeline was never laid in country’s history before. Nawaz Sharif is the leader who fulfils all his promises, he stated.
Shahid Khaqan said the governments that were in power in past fifteen years do not have any project to their credit, and asked that is it only PML-N’s duty to introduce all developments in Pakistan.
He affirmed that all the gas connections were given on merit during the incumbent government’s tenure, and gas is available in Pakistan for all new ventures. The premier also mentioned the 1,800 kilometers long motorway that was built from 2013 onwards.
