LAHORE (Dunya News) – On the summon of Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar, son of governor of Punjab appeared in Supreme Court (SC) Lahore registry in a case pertaining to high fee of medical colleges.
During the hearing, the CJP expressed resentment over him and asked how dare he telephoned female lawyer and talked on this issue.
Meanwhile, the court also accepted unconditional apology of vice chancellor of Faisalabad University.
He also scolded Sharif Medical Trust principal for not attending yesterday’s hearing and directed him to submit bank account details within seven days.
In previous hearing, chief executive and owners of unregistered medical colleges appeared before the court during which CJP remarked, “Every private medical college is making its own merit as yesterday, I was informed that Rs6.42 lac is being taken from the students but today, the amount has escalated to Rs9 lac.”
The judge had ordered to transfer all the cases related to medical colleges’ fee to the apex court, adding that SC will formulate the fee structure itself.
