KARACHI (Dunya News) – The fire that engulfed a private warehouse in Karachi has on Monday been doused by fifteen fire tenders after seven hours.

The third-degree blaze erupted last night in a private godown in Chamra Chowrangi area and injured one person. Five fire tenders reached the spot initially but the intensity of inferno started increasing. All fire brigade vehicles of the city were then summoned by the authorities to control the blaze.

Chief fire officer said no fire extinguishers were present in the warehouse and that was the reason it reached third-degree. He further added that the guard informed godown owners about the inferno late.

Later on, another incident of fire took place in Karachi. This time, it was in a warehouse in Nazimabad where the fire was extinguished by rescue officials and firemen after half hour.
