KARACHI (Dunya News) – Imran Khan on Wednesday declared that the federal government and its allies, including Maulana Fazlur Rehman and Mahmood Khan Achakzai, are hindrance in the reforms for the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA).
PTI Chairman said that the existing system in FATA may bring back terrorism. He said that his party will protest with the rest of the Opposition parties as well as the people of FATA if their demands are not fulfilled.
Talking about the KP-FATA merger, he added that it is clearly mentioned in the National Action Plan to solve the FATA crisis by merging the area in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. “The government is pushing the FATA reforms to 2023 on the recommendation of Fazlur Rehman,” he claimed.
Hasina Moeen joins PTI
Talking to media in Karachi, Imran Khan welcomed drama actor Hasina Moeen in the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf after she pledged allegiance. He hoped to sweep the 2018 general elections, demanding of the government to hold early polls. “The elections will strengthen democracy,” he said. He criticised the ministers for only defending corruption of the Sharif family.
‘Shehbaz, Rana Sana responsible for Model Town incident’
He reaffirmed that both Punjab CM Shehbaz Sharif and provincial Law Minister Rana Sanaullah are responsible for the massacre of innocent people in Model Town. He expressed support for PAT chief Tahirul Qadri.
