ISLAMABAD (Dunya News)- National Accountability Bureau (NAB) chairman Justice (rtd) Javed Iqbal on Monday stated that mobile phone companies avoid mammoth tax worth Rs400 billion annually.

Iqbal stressed on much-needed reforms in tax collection system. NAB chairman told participants that Pakistan remains an ideal destination for foreign direct investment but steps are required for tax collection for safety of national interests.. He said directions have been dispatched to all seven regional headquarters of NAB to address issues pertaining to corruption at earliest.

Iqbal warned of stringent action against those NAB officials who would try to harass anyone and found calling anyone for investigation after the inquiry.
