The PML-N Senator said existing crisis can end if his recommendations are acted upon

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Senator Raja Zafar-ul-Haq has compiled the investigation report regarding amendment in elections bill which will be presented before ex-PM Nawaz Sharif tomorrow.

The sacked premier will review the report himself and discuss the ongoing matters with the Senator.

Talking to Dunya News, Zafar-ul-Haq said that the existing chaos can be ended by implementing his recommendations.

He refused to speak out the contents of his report. “It will not be appropriate morally,” he told.

The senior PML-N leader stated that it is now up to their party president whether to make the report public. He confirmed that the interim report on the matter has already been presented to Nawaz Sharif.

Agitation by religious parties, namely Sunni Tehreek and Tehreek Labbaik Ya Rasool Allah among others, has continued after the security operation to end 21-day long Faizabad sit-in. While no further strategy has been announced by the government, the angry protestors have no plans of ending their countrywide demonstrations anytime soon.

Sources claimed that Federal Law Minister Zahid Hamid might resign soon from his office as he met Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif and had discussion over the prevalent crisis in the country. However, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb has denied the reports claiming Hamid and Minister of State for Information Technology and Telecommunication Anusha Rehman had resigned.
