LAHORE: (Dunya News) – Federal Law Minister Zahid Hamid on Sunday met Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif and had discussion with him over the prevalent crisis in the country. Sources claim that Hamid might resign soon from his office, reported Dunya News.
According to sources, Zahid Hamid offered to tender his resignation. Earlier it had been reported that Zahid Hamid had met PM Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and offered to resign.
On the other hand, senior Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) leader Raja Zafarul Haq has said that there was nothing wrong if the resignation of one minister could resolve the crisis but feared that once the resignation was tendered, it might encourage the protesters to up their demands.
Dunya Media Group President Kamran Khan has broken the news already on Twitter where he claimed that ‘the federal minister will be marched out’, resulting in the victory of the protesters as the ‘state of Pakistan will bow before [Khadim Rizvi’s] brand of language and politics’.
