Summary Pakistan allowed Kulbhushan Jadhav to meet on humanitarian grounds, ICJ never gave such orders

LAHORE: (Dunya news) – Indian media has on Sunday started misrepresenting Pakistan’s humanitarian effort allowing Indian saboteur Kulbhushan Jadhav meeting his wife as a result of the pressure by International Court of Justice (ICJ), whereas ICJ hasn’t given any such orders, reported Dunya News.

Pakistan had allowed Kulbhushan Jadhav to meet his wife under the Islamic morals but India equated it with Pakistan’s weakness instead of welcoming the humanitarian gesture.

Earlier, the government had offered India to organise a meeting between the spy and his wife after repeated denial to grant consular access to the convicted spy since his arrest in spring 2016.

"The Government of Pakistan has decided to arrange a meeting of Commander Kulbhushan Jadhav with his wife, in Pakistan, purely on humanitarian grounds. A Note Verbale to this effect has been sent to the Indian High Commission in Islamabad, today," read a statement of the Foreign Office (FO).
