(Web Desk) – Devotees from all across Pakistan have gathered in Lahore to participate in Hazrat Data Ali Hajveri’s 974th Urs ceremony which is held on the 18th, 19th and 20th of the Islamic month of Safar.

Born in Afghanistan in around 1009, Ali Hajveri settled in Lahore where he died with the reputation of a renowned preacher and teacher.

With his tomb-shrine located in Lahore, Ali Hajveri is acclaimed as the patron saint of the city. While he is one of the most widely recognised saints in the entire Indian subcontinent, his shrine – popularly known as Data Darbar, is one of the most frequented shrines in South Asia.
