Summary 'Constitutional amendment is expected to be presented in National Assembly on November 2'
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Counsellor for Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) Asif Bajwa has said that final notification of census will not be issued before April but did remind that elections will not be held on time if census results are delayed.
He further informed that Election Commission requires at least four months, to conduct elections according to new data.
“It was consented that elections will be held according to new census data,” he added while stating that constitutional amendment is expected to be presented in National Assembly on November 2.
The advisor to PBS also said that increased duty on luxurious items and increased oil price is likely to upheaval the economy.
