Zardari expedites efforts to save Khurshid Shah's opposition leader seat

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Co-chairman of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Asif Ali Zardari on Friday has summoned a high-level consultative meeting in Islamabad to save Khurshid Shah’s Opposition Leader in National Assembly seat.
Sources told that a committee comprising party leaders is likely to be formed to take opposition parties into confidence while former president will also hold meetings with Jamat-e-Islami, Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q), Aftab Sherpao and members of assembly from FATA.
Other matters like appointment of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) chairman and ongoing political situation will also be discussed.
The session will be started at 3pm at Zardari House.
It is to be mentioned here that Opposition Leader in NA Khurshid Shah has already reached Islamabad for the meeting.
Earlier, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and Muttahida Quami Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) had agreed to nominate Shah Mehmood Qureshi as the next opposition leader however, PTI suffered a major setback when several parties refused to support their stance.
The parties included Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q), Jamaat-i-Islami (JI), Qaumi Watan Party (QWP) and Awami National Party (ANP).
