Summary How would you feel if it happened to your children, Sindh High Court asks Gadap DSP
KARACHI: (Dunya News) – Sindh High Court (SHC) on Thursday expressed anger over the slow proceedings of the case involving two missing Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) workers. The court asked Gadap DSP how he would feel if it happened to his children, reported Dunya News.
“Where are the workers missing for the last 27 months? One is a father of five children; the other one has three daughters. What if it was happening to your children?” said Justice Khadim Hussain Tunio.
Justice Nematullah Phalphoto asked the reason of people going missing. “Do these suspects have a past criminal record?”
DSP Pir Bakhsh said that both of them belonged to MQM and five joint investigation teams (JIT) have been formed so far. The court said that they were fed up of the JITs and the provincial task force was also a waste of time.
According to the petitioner, Saqib Afridi and Atif Hashmi had been picked up in 2015 by Rangers and officials in civilian clothes. The Rangers lawyer rejected this claim and said that the two missing citizens were not in Rangers’ custody.
