Khawaja Asif to embark on Turkey visit from Tuesday

Khawaja Asif will meet Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu during his one-day visit to Turkey.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Foreign Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif will embark on a one-day official visit to Turkey today (Tuesday) for consultations on the new American policy for Afghanistan and South Asia.

Asif will hold meetings with Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu. The bilateral relations between Turkey and Pakistan and current regional and international developments will be on the agenda.

Last week, Asif delayed his meeting with US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson in Washington. The Pakistani government also postponed the visit of Alice Wells, acting assistant secretary of state for South Asian affairs, to Islamabad.
