LAHORE (Dunya News) – Workers of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) have passed a resolution during Mall Road sit-in on Wednesday urging Chief Justice of Lahore High Court (CJ LHC) to take action over alleged reluctance of the provincial government to public Justice Baqir Najfi’s probe report regarding Model Town incident.
PAT staged a sit-in on DC Road, adjoining the Mall and the attendees unanimously approved a resolution urging the high court CJ to take suo moto action of the alleged injustice.
Supporters of PAT agreed that bereaved families of persons who lost their lives in Model Town incident have been awaiting justice for three years.
The resolution was moved by daughter of late Tanzeela Amjad, one of the persons who lost their lives in 2014 in tragic Model Town incident.
