Talal Ch becomes minister, angry Daniyal skips oath taking ceremony
Daniyal Aziz was given a state ministry which he probably disliked.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Daniyal Aziz became furious with the party as new federal cabinet took oath today (Friday).
Sources told that the leader, while expressing his anger, refused to take oath and also skipped the ceremony while federal minister Mumtaz Tarar also did not participate in the event.
It is to be mentioned here that Daniyal Aziz was given a state ministry which he probably disliked.
On the other hand, PML-N’s Talal Chaudhry has been appointed as Minister of State for Interior, Khawaja Asif has become Foreign Minister, Ahsan Iqbal took Interior Ministry and Khurram Dastagir was given Defence Ministry.
Ishaq Dar and Marriyum Aurangzeb remained Finance Minister and Information Minister respectively in the new federal cabinet. Mushahid Ullah Khan sworn in as Environment Minister.
Others who sworn in as the federal ministers included Barjees Tahir, Parvaiz Malik, Zahid Hamid, Mumtaz Ahmed Tarar, Salahuddin Tirmizi and Rana Tanveer.
Daniyal Aziz, Tariq Fazal Chaudhry , Mohsin Shah Nawaz Ranjha, Pir Ameer ul Hasnat, Anusha Rahman, Jam Kamal Khan, Barrister Usman Ibrahim, Junaid Anwaar Chaudhary, Abdul Rehman Kanjo, Awais Laghari, Ghalib Khan, Ayaz Shirazi, Chaudhry Jafar Iqbal and Dostain Khan took oath as state ministers.
However, Khawaja Saad Rafique, Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, Sardar Yousuf and other ministers retained their portfolios.
President Mamnoon Hussain administered the oath to the members whereas interim Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi was also present on the occasion.
