Summary President Mamnoon Hussain was reluctant to respond on Panama case questions from media persons
RAWALPINDI (Web Desk) – President Mamnoon Hussain replied ‘not the right occasion to talk about Panama case’ to a journalists’ question who was keen to know the opinion of the ceremonial head of state.
He was alongside Railways Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique to attend an event regarding Pakistan Railways at Rawalpindi railway station. He said, “The journey on train is relaxing.”
President Mamnoon credited Rafique for the improvement in the state-owned railway company while assuring all employees that their valid demands will be fulfilled by the federal minister. He advised all Pakistanis to travel as much as they can through the train.
Strict security arrangements were made for the arrival of president and state minister. A large number of Punjab police commandos as well as armed personnel from special brand and intelligence agencies were present at the occasion.
Officers of bomb disposal squad also arrived at the platform with their sniffer dogs. They remained busy in clearing the area upon the arrival of government executives.
Commoners were not allowed to enter inside the railway station and it remained sealed even for people with train tickets. Travelers faced a tough situation as they remained crowded outside the station. Most of them complained about the VIP culture.
