Nooriabad power plant at standstill
Not even a single megawatt has been provided since the inauguration of the project
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Even after a lapse of twenty days since the 100-megawatt Nooriabad power plant was inaugurated by Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, the project is still at standstill.
In order to ensure the gas supply for the project, Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah even went to the level that he warned the federal government and the Sui Southern Gas Company that if Sindh s concerns were not addressed over gas distribution, the provincial government will cut off gas supply from Sindh to the rest of the country.
Bilawal claimed while inaugurating the Nooriabad power plant that electricity would be provided to Karachi however not even a single megawatt has been provided since the inauguration of the project.
The people in Karachi are still waiting for Bilawal to fulfill his promise.
