Summary PTI Chairman expressed concerns saying JIT probe is being made controversial by ruling PMLN govt
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has demanded resignation from Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif yet again and asked him to remain disconnected with his office until the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) to probe Panama case completes its task.
He has expressed his concerns saying that the JIT was being made controversial by the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government. To make the investigation free and fair, he asked the premier to resign from his position.
“People go to jail on one allegation while there are four on Nawaz Sharif,” he claimed saying the PM benefited himself while holding the office which is the biggest charge. He accused PM Nawaz of making the JIT controversial, highlighting the difference of reaction when the JIT was constructed by the apex court and as JIT started its probe later on.
During the media talk in capital, he stated Nawaz Sharif lied twice, first before the National Assembly about the money trail and then in the Supreme Court by producing an ‘untrue’ letter from Qatari Prince. “I will accept the Qatari letter only if the PM swears on his children,” he added.
He accused the federal cabinet of attacking and threatening the JIT.
