Summary PTI leaders demanded Nawaz Sharif's resignation, dissolving assemblies and snap election
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) said in a combined press conference that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s appearance before Joint Investigation Team (JIT) for Panama probe is not historic and he even failed to produce money trail of offshore accounts.
They have not only demanded the resignation from PM but also suggested to dissolve assemblies and hold snap elections referring to the incompetency of the ruling party of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N). The media talk was held by the PTI representatives Asad Umar and Fawad Chaudhry. “Nawaz Sharif is the criminal no. 1 in Panama case,” said Asad Umar.
PTI leaders suggested that PM Nawaz had no option other than to appear before JIT, adding that he hasn’t presented himself for accountability happily. Umar stated that Islamabad mayor placed banners in favour of PML-N but didn’t provide clean drinking water to citizens.
Fawad Chaudhry pointed out that PM Nawaz was incapable of talking without a written speech, and a case accusing Imran Khan of terrorism was lodged as soon as he protested against injustice. “Imran Khan will not present himself in the terrorism case,” he concluded.
