Summary Pakistan Embassy in Qatar and Oman have finally rescued Pakistani pilgrims stuck at Doha airport
DOHA (Dunya News) – About 400 Pakistanis were transferred from Doha airport to Muscat in rescue operations through special airplanes, according to the Pakistan Embassy in Doha.
It was earlier reported that about 500 Pakistani pilgrims had been stuck at Doha airport following the major Qatar diplomatic crisis according to which seven countries broke ties with the gulf country. Their flight was scheduled to reach Jeddah via Doha, but it has stopped at Doha after the Arab nations cut ties with Qatar, and the airline had to suspend all its flights to Saudi Arabia.
400 Pakistanis were transferred to Muscat airport through special planes of Qatar Airlines while the 150 persons were rescued through similar operations in the second shift.
These 550 Pakistani nationals will now be taken to Saudi Arabia through Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) aircrafts where they will perform Umrah. Both the embassies in Qatar and Oman made valiant effort to rescue the pilgrims, and to make sure they reach their destinations.
