ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Joint Investigation Team (JIT), formed to probe much-hyped Panama Leaks case, will meet today (Tuesday) to investigate the issue of Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif’s son Hussain Nawaz’s leaked picture in which he is sitting in a room in Federal Judicial Academy.

The judicial authorities would hold thorough interrogation from the concerned officials to assess the authenticity of the picture while they have also announced to take proper action against the responsible.

On the other hand, Qatari Prince Hamad Bin Jassim Bin Jaber Al Thani will not appear before JIT for Panama case as questions have been raised over the transparency of its interrogation.

The decision to not appear before JIT is not surprising, however, the expression of doubts in investigation procedure as well as raising the matter of transparency is a fairly recent development. The impression of doubt has been created in JIT’s interrogation with these reservations.

According to Qatari sources, no witness can record the statements in such circumstances which appeared after the leaked photo of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s son while he was being questioned by JIT at the Judicial Academy.

It should be recalled that Sharif family’s lawyer presented Qatari letter was presented before the Supreme Court’s five-member bench to probe Panama case. The document was dated Nov 5, 2016, from the prince who ruled Qatar from 2007 to 2013 as Prime Minister.
