ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) Additional Director-General Wajid Zia is presiding over the meeting of the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) to deliberate upon working procedure regarding Panamagate probe.

Sources told that JIT would seek assistance of experts from FIA and other departments to ensure fair investigation whereas it would also comprehensively review court’s decisions and available documents.

The concerned ministries would also be contacted for the authenticity of the foreign records.

The meeting is being attended by State Bank of Pakistan’s (SBP) Amer Aziz, Securities & Exchange Commission of Pakistan’s (SECP) Bilal Rasool, Inter-Services Intelligence’s (ISI) Brigadier Nauman Saeed and Military Intelligence’s (MI) Brigadier Kamran Khursheed whereas Director of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Irfan Mangi didn’t participate in the meeting. 

The investigation team will submit a progress report after every two weeks to the apex court whereas it is also supposed to complete probe within two months.

Earlier, SSP security briefed JIT’s head and members on various matters during an informal session at the Federal Judicial Academy.

A private news channel invited wrath of JIT members when it tried aerial coverage with drone camera whereas security personnel, present at the spot, confiscated the drone camera and reviewed the recorded footage.
