Summary National Assembly Speaker expressed great concern over the recent tensions on Pak-Afghan border
LAHORE: (Dunya News) – National Assembly (NA) Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has on Sunday said that Pakistan will keep engaging Afghanistan into talks on the border security issue. He also expressed concern over the recent tensions on Pak-Afghan border, reported Dunya News.
Ayaz Sadiq said that Pakistan’s peace was linked with Afghanistan’s peace. He said that such statements should not be issued that’d prove detrimental to the relations of the two countries.
Talking to media in Lahore, Ayaz Sadiq discussed his recent visit to Afghanistan. He said that the talks with the Afghan officials were positive. He added that no clear answer was received on the issues of border security and monitoring but the issue will be taken up again when Afghanistan’s delegation visits Pakistan.
He reiterated the resolve that the assemblies will complete their term. He said that the opposition parties kept staging shows but the government’s show was permanent.
Earlier, he also distributed gifts among children suffering from thalassemia.
