PPP serves notices to three of its KP leaders for rallying for perpetrators in Mashal case

Summary Former speaker of KP Assembly has issued the notices

PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chapter of Pakistan People’s Party has issued show-case notices to three of its leaders for participating in a rally against Mashal Khan, a student of Abdul Wali Khan University who was lynched this month by fellows.



Secretary General of KP PPP Faisal Karim Kundi issued notices to former deputy speaker of KP Ikramullah Shahid, district vice-nazim of Mardan, Asad Kashmiri and Abid Ali, former member of provincial assembly.

The organisation has demanded off the members to file replies within seven days. Reportedly, Chairman and co-chairman of PPP, Bilawal and Asif Ali Zardari have been informed of the development while Asifa Bhutto has endorsed the step.

Mashal Khan was lynched by a charged mob last month in the varsity for reserving viewpoints that are condemned and discourages in a conservative Pakistani society.
