LAHORE (Dunya News) – Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Chairman Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) inaugurated the three-day Benazir Literary Festival on Monday at Alhamra.

The festival kicked off with the screening of a documentary movie "Awaz-e-Jamhur". 

While addressing the inauguration ceremony, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari professed that the festival will promote a culture of tolerance in our society.

PPP Chairman expressed that he wishes to see Pakistan where humanity is the top priority and tolerance is our culture.

Bilawal also quoted Faiz Ahmad Faiz as he quoted his message to the audience.

The literary festival was also attended by Benazir’s dearest friend Victoria Schofield.

Meanwhile, a one minute silence was also observed for Mashal Khan, a student of Journalism at Abdul-Wali Khan University Mardan, who was lynched by the mob for alleged blasphemy.
