Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik on Tuesday categorically stated that the central and provincial governments will not object to the court proceedings regarding Raymond Davis, the US national accused of killing two Pakistanis in Lahore last week. Talking to media outside the Parliament, the minister said that Raymonds fate would be decided after complete probe and the subsequent court orders. Ii is not into my knowledge if his (Davis) name has been put on the ECL, the minister was quoted as saying. Regarding progress on Mumbai attack case, he said that Pakistan is not delaying the investigation, India is not allowing us access to the judicial commission. There is a sharp decline in the cases of targeted killing in Karachi, he said. The minister said that the government has no plans to amend the blasphemy laws.
