KARACHI (Dunya News) – Pakistan Meteorological Department said on Friday that a high temperature would remain in most areas of Sindh. However, the provincial capital Karachi witnessed a moderate weather.
43 to 45 degree Celsius Temperature was recorded in Hyderabad. Also, the downtown areas of Sindh had similar recordings of weather.
The Met Office recorded up to 47 degree Celsius in Nawabshah and Larkana. On the other hand, the temperature rose in Punjab.
40 degree Celsius was recorded in Lahore. Most cities in Punjab suffered from hot and humid climate by which the residents suffered from sweat and thirst.
According to PMD, there were no predictions of rain in near future while the temperature will keep rising in the next few days.
Dadu experienced a temperature between 44-46 degrees.
A sudden rise of temperature in Karachi created fear among the people, reminding them of the treacherous heat wave in 2015. Two years back, temperatures touched 44 degrees Celsius (111 degrees Fahrenheit) in the steamy port city, the hottest since 1981 and above normal summer levels of around 37°C (99F).
