ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Senate Chairman expressed his discontent with the justice system. He said on Thursday that the case was filed under Article 6 but the suspect fled country.
Raza Rabbani was addressing to the first annual Youm-e-Shuhda-e-Sahafat conference in the capital. He complained that the law was applied in a different way on the common man.
“There are four to five standards to impose law in our society,” he said, adding that if the common man was caught on police check post during night time, he would be treated differently. He asked that how will the dual standards help promote culture of justice.
“We are going backward rather than progressing,” Raza Rabbani said. “An era worse than the martial law awaits us if the constitution is not implemented.”
While praising the role of journalists, Senate Chairman said that they played an important role for the struggle of democracy. “The hard work should continue despite hardships,” he added.
