Ban on pillion riding in Karachi has been rendered ineffective midnight Saturday as the Sindh government issued no notification warranting further extension in the ban, whereas, 5 persons have been killed in different firing incidents in Kimari and Layari, Dunya News reported.The ban was extended on 23rd January, 2011 for another week because of the security concerns on the Chehlum of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA). The home department has also confirmed that no notification had been issued for extension of ban.
