Army chief pays visit to Baloch Regimental Center

No person or institution holds more importance than Pakistan: General Bajwa

ABBOTTABAD (Dunya News) – Chief of the Army Staff, General Qamar Javed Bajwa paid a visit to Baloch Regiment on Thursday and laid wreath at martyrs’ monument.

While addressing the officers during his visit, he paid rich tributes to the martyred soldiers who rendered sacrifices of their lives for defence of Pakistan.

"COAS laid floral wreath at Yadgar-e-Shuhada to pay homage to martyrsof Baloch Regiment who laid their lives for the defence of the motherland," press release of Inter-Services Public Relations stated.

He expressed exuberance and pride over the visit as he laid out that his father had served as an officer in Baloch Regiment. The army chief met with recruits of Frontier Corps receiving training at the camp.

General Bajwa said that no person or institution holds more importance than Pakistan and that the military would continue to make efforts to keep the country secure.

Media cell of the military further reported: "On arrival at BRC, COAS was received by Commander Rawalpindi Corps, Lieutenant General Nadeem Raza. Commandant Pakistan Military Academy, Major General Abdullah Dogar was also present."
