Ministry of Religious Affairs establishes cell to monitor social media
A 30 member team has been established to eliminate blasphemous content over social media
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Ministry for Religious Affairs has established a cell to monitor social media content, reported Dunya News.
Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousaf expressed that the freedom of speech has been misused and that blasphemous content is being spread purposely on social media.
He revealed that a 30 member team has been established to eliminate blasphemous content over social media.
Sardar Yousaf let it be known that he has recommended that right should be given PTA in regards to blocking website that contains blasphemous content.
He cleared out that 565 links that contained blasphemous content has already been blocked.
