Karachi mayor sacks director city wardens over pointing out 'ghost employees'

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Mayor Waseem Akhtar on Friday fired director city wardens Saleem Jokhio for disclosing matter of ghost employeesin Karachi Metropolitan Corporation.

According to details, Saleem Jokhio informed anti-corruption authorities and Karachi Mayor about the ghost employees who are taking monthly salaries while sitting at home.

He also demanded inquiry against three city warden inspectors.

Taking action into the matter, Waseem Akhtar removed Saleem Jokhio from the post instead of sacking corrupt officials and appointed Imran Ahmed as director city wardens.
